ஒரு சொல் என்பது தமிழில் பல பிரிவுகளில் அடங்கும், முதலில் சொற்களை இரண்டு வகையாகப் பிரிக்கலாம். முதல் வகை இலக்கிய வகைச் சொற்கள் இரண்டாவது இலக்கண வகைச் சொற்கள். இலக்கிய வகைச் சொற்களை இயற்சொல், திசை சொல், வடசொல் எனப் பிரிக்கலாம், இந்த வகைச் சொற்களைத் தமிழ் இடைநிலையில் விளக்கமாகப் பார்க்கலாம்.

இது தொடக்க நிலை என்பதால் தமிழ் இலக்கணத்தைச் சரியாகப் புரிந்து கொள்வது தமிழ் கற்றலுக்கு மிகவும் அடிப்படையாகும். அதனால் இங்கு இலக்கண வகைச் சொற்கள் மூன்றைச் சிறிது மேலோட்டமாகக் கற்றுக் கொள்ளலாம்.

பெயர்ச்சொல் இடை சொல் வினை சொல் உரிச்சொல் ஆகியவை ஆகும்.

பெயர்ச்சொல் ஆங்கிலத்தில் noun என்று அழைக்கப்படும். ஆங்கிலத்தில் வரும், conjucations prepositions particles ஆகியவை இடைச்சொல் என்று அழைக்கப்படும். வினைச்சொல் என்பது ஆங்கிலத்தில் verb என அழைக்கப்படும்.

இலக்கணச் சொற்களைத் தொடக்க நிலையில் புரிந்து கொள்வதற்குச் சில அடிப்படைகளைத் தெரிந்து கொள்வது தமிழைத் தொடக்க நிலையில் படிப்பதற்கு உதவியாக இருக்கும்.

பெயர் சொல் ஒன்றின் பொருளையும் இடத்தையும் காலத்தையும் உறுப்பையும் பண்பையும் தொழிலையும் காட்டும்

இடைச் சொற்கள் பெயரைச் சொல்லை வினைச்சொல்லோடு இணைக்கும் போது வேற்றுமை உருபுகள் என்று அழைக்கப்படும். இடைச்சொல் ஒரு சொல்லின் இறுதியில் வந்து பால், எண் கால நிலைகளைக் காட்டும் இடை சொல் சாரியை உவமை பெயரெச்சம் வினை யெச்சம் இணைப்பிடைச் சொற்களைக் காட்டும்

வினை சொல் ஒரு செயலைக் குறிக்கும் இது திணை பால் காலம் ஆகியவற்றைக் காட்டும். ஒரு சில இடங்களில் வினை சொல் ஒன்றின் பொருளையும் இடத்தையும் காலத்தையும் உறுப்பையும் பண்பையும் தொழிலையும் கூடக் காட்டும்

உரிச்சொல் என்ற வகை செய்யுள் இலக்கணத்தைச் சார்ந்த ஒரு சொல்வகை. அதை செய்யுள் இலக்கணத்தில் விரிவாகப் பார்க்கலாம்.

Introduction to Tamil words

In Tamil Language the Tamil words are characterized in so many ways. The first two basic categorizations are literary words and grammatical words. The literary awards are classified as, natural words, directional words and words from the north. The grammatical classifications are nouns, in-between words, verbs and interjecting words.

The nouns show name, place, time, parts, characters and actions, The in-between words connect the nouns and the verbs.Then they are called cases or vettrrumai words, The in-between words also. Some of the other in-between words, act as particles conjugations, prepositions and comparisons also. These words do not have the meaning of their own

Verb shows the action. The verb can also show the classes, cases, gender, count

Interjecting words.in tamil is called urri chol. They are part of poetic grammer. So they will be looked in in the poetic grammer in the higher level classes.

திணைகள்- பட அகராதி:

தமிழில் உள்ள திணைகளைப் பற்றிய விளக்கங்கள் ஏற்கனவே தெரிந்து இருந்தாலும் ஒரு பட அகரமுதலி திணைகளை மனதில் பதிய உதவி செய்யும். ஒருவர் பெயர்ச்சொல்லை சரியாக இலக்கணப்படி தமிழில் எழுத முடியும். ஏன் என்றால் ஒவ்வொரு திணைக்கும் ஏற்றபடி இலக்கண விதிகள் மாறும். அதனால் இந்தப் பட அகரமுதலி இங்கே கொடுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

பட அகரமுதலிக்கான விளக்கமும் கீழே ஒரு சின்ன விளையாட்டாகக் கொடுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
